  • Steve Taylor

    Steve’s mission is to glorify God by connecting others with their God-given destiny. Prior to coming to First Southern, he served as pastor for churches in Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Texas. He and his wife Shirley also served for 11 years in the Zambezi River Valley in Southern Africa as church planting missionaries with the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention. He and Shirley have three grown children and four grandchildren.


    Steve holds a Master of Divinity degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. He is passionate about communicating the Gospel of Jesus Christ, maximizing the potential of the local church, and involving followers of Christ in global missions. Steve is the author of “ALPHA PREDATOR: How to Be Victorious Over Life’s Ultimate Adversary and What to Do When You’re Not” and "THE THUNDER POET: Rhyming Life with God's Indigenous Design."

    Brian joined our staff in 2020 coming most recently from Texas. He graduated from the University of Mobile in Alabama and received his Master of Arts in Christian Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. He served with two churches in Texas before coming to Kansas. 


    He and his wife, Kayla have two children; Emalee and Harley. Both Brian and Kayla are originally from Alabama (Roll Tide). He loves to spend time with his family, college football and playing golf.

  • Lincoln Casada

    Associate Pastor of Worship and Young Adults

    Lincoln joined the FSBC Staff in Fall of 2021, after serving two and a half years as the Worship Director at a church in Manhattan, Kansas. He grew up in Manhattan serving in multiple ministries and leading worship at various camps and events, including a worship internship at his home church. He graduated from Manhattan Christian College, receiving his Bachelors of Science degree in Biblical Leadership with Pastoral Studies of Worship and Theology.  


    He married his wife Moriah (who grew up in Thailand serving with her parents on the mission field) in July of 2021, and they have two beautiful girls, Emmaline, and Shiloh, as well as a son, Judson. Lincoln and Moriah are committed to serving the Lord in whatever capacity He calls, and they are excited to serve through Worship and Young adults ministry, while also pursuing opportunities in missions ministry.

    The church secretary is often the first impression people have of any church, whether in person, on the telephone, or by email. We are so happy to have Shelly to fit that role! Shelly's gracious demeanor and southern accent make her a jewel to work with. Shelly is married to Rocky and they have two grown sons.
